What happened. The Government of India announced that the four Labour Codes were made effective from 21 November 2025, rationalising 29 central labour laws. The announcement notes that existing provisions continue during the transition.
Why it matters for sites. Factory and establishment registrations, safety obligations and related permissions for industrial and warehouse operations now sit within this framework. State rules and transitional arrangements matter; check the current position for Haryana or Delhi before setting up operations.
