Other site-specific approvals

Airport height, highway access, heritage, factory and labour, storage and similar requirements — when they apply.

The need

Some requirements depend on where a site is or what will happen there: buildings near aerodromes may need a height clearance under the Ministry of Civil Aviation's height-restriction rules; sites near protected monuments fall under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958; access from a highway may need the road authority's permission; factories need registrations under labour law (the four Labour Codes came into force on 21 November 2025); storage of petroleum, explosives or hazardous chemicals has its own licences.

Typical scope

  • Screening the site and activity for these requirements.
  • Identifying the authority and current procedure for each, with sources.
  • Engaging the professionals who must prepare technical documents, and tracking applications.

What you receive

Screening note, route note with sources, tracker.
