Land acquisition, site selection & search briefs

Turn a business need into a written site brief, then search, shortlist and compare real options on evidence.

The need

Most site searches go wrong at the start: the brief says “two acres near the expressway” when the business really needs a particular power load, truck access, a permitted industrial use and possession within a set time. A clear brief saves months.

Typical scope

  • A written site brief: use, built-up and land area, height, power and water needs, access and vehicle movement, budget basis, timing, tenure preference (purchase, lease, build-to-suit).
  • Search and shortlisting across our network and the market, in the geography you set.
  • A comparison sheet for each shortlisted site recording what is known, from which document, and what is still open.
  • Site visits and an initial reading of the records offered by each owner.

How it usually runs

  1. Requirement meeting and draft brief for your approval.
  2. Market search; first long list.
  3. Record request from owners; shortlist on evidence, not on brochure claims.
  4. Visits, questions, and a recommendation on which sites merit full due diligence.

What to have ready
