Editorial & corrections policy

How we source, date, label and correct information.

UdyogSakha publishes guides, library records and articles to help people understand land, planning, construction, utility and compliance processes in Haryana and Delhi NCR. This policy explains how we source, date and correct that material.

Sources

  • We prefer primary sources: official gazettes, India Code, government departments and statutory authorities, district administrations and courts.
  • We use secondary sources (news reports, commentaries, legal databases) only to find issues or, where an official copy could not be opened, as a clearly labelled finding aid.
  • For court decisions we read the judgment or order itself and separate the material facts, the issue, what was decided and the relief actually granted.

What “Source checked [date]” means

It means that on that date someone opened the cited publication or listing and reviewed what the record's “What was checked” field describes. It does not mean that every amendment, later notification, appeal or review has been traced, and nothing on this site is monitored automatically. A linked document is not necessarily the current version.

Statuses

We keep these distinct: draft or consultation; notified or published; amended; superseded; withdrawn; stayed or in abeyance; interim; and final. An official portal or directory is labelled as such — it is not a law or a permission.

Distinctions we always keep

  • A revenue mutation is not proof of title.
  • An agreement to sell or a power of attorney is not a registered conveyance.
  • A collector-rate schedule is not a market valuation.
  • A portal entry or a pending application is not an approval.
  • A location map or map pin is not title or survey proof.
  • A judgment's discussion is not the same as the order it made.

Our role

General guides do not replace parcel-specific legal or technical advice. Permissions are decided by the competent authorities. Where an act is reserved to a licensed or appointed professional, that professional must perform it.

Corrections

If you find an error, an outdated reference or a later amendment we have missed, please write to info@udyogsakha.com with the page address and the source you are relying on, or use the enquiry form and choose “Research question or source correction”. We review correction requests and, where we change a page, update its review date.
