Why it matters. How the Aravalli range is defined can affect what land is treated as part of it, and therefore mining and other restrictions, in Haryana (including Gurugram) and neighbouring States.
What we could confirm. A Prasar Bharati (All India Radio News) report of 29 December 2025 states that the Court kept its 20 November 2025 direction in abeyance, ordered a new expert committee to examine the definition issues, and issued notice to the Centre and the Aravalli States including Haryana and Delhi. A later news report (about September 2026) says the Court declined the committee's request to extend its time to February 2027 and asked for the report by 30 November.
